A roastery and its cafés, started in Youghal in 2021.
Boardwalk Coffee began in 2021 as a dream shared by a father and son. They chose quality over quantity: small, carefully chosen batches, roasted on a basic but reliable machine to begin with, then a newer, more consistent one as the business grew.
The roastery prefers single origins to blends, sources beans that mostly score 84 or 85, and cups every week. The bags are mono-material, recyclable, with a valve.
The café on The Mall is where you can drink it. The roastery is at Foxhole, Youghal, and there are cafés at Claycastle and in Killarney too.
We made a brave decision to prioritise the rich, nuanced flavours that could only be achieved by roasting small, meticulously curated batches.Boardwalk Coffee, on its own website
